The required take-up length is calculated as follows, where . S Sp = take-up length (m) L = conveyor length (m) ε = belt elongation, elastic and permanent (%) As a rough guideline, use 1,5 % elongation for textile belts. and 0,2 % for steel cord belts. Note: For long-distance conveyors, dynamic start-up calculations

If you want to calculate the diameter of a coiled roll instead of the total linear length, take the square root of the thickness times the length times 15.28 plus the core diameter squared. References. GRTCO: Belt Roll Formulas ; Math Forum: Calculating Material Length on Roll ; Tips.
calculation of belt conveyor length. Conveyor belt roll length Calculation||How to calculate 20170410 The length factor, f L 10H, represented on the chart by the lines 500, 600, 700, etc., is a developed factor equal to the sum of the length of the belt and ten times the difference in elevation between the head and tail pulleys.
Aug 10, 2005 Hi everybody...I've been looking for a formula that can calculate the length of a 20 flat belt for a multiple pulley/roller conveyor bed. The conveyor beds vary as to how many rollers and pulleys it consists of. Usually just a tail & nose roller, 2 tracking rollers, screw take-up, drive pulley, and a snub roller. Any information would be much appreciated.
